In the last hour @Tiyuri (Starbound creator) Tweeted “Someone convince @notch to let me put creepers in Starbound as a cameo”, without hesitation Notch replied with “You may!”
There is no conformation that this is actually going to happen but it does look like we will be getting Minecraft’s most hated Mob appearing on our screens in Starbound!!!
