Perhaps the biggest news of the day has been the announcement of the Dead Island sequel Riptide. Following confirmation of the next addition to the survival horror franchise has quickly been followed up with the games first pre-order incentive.
Starting today, gamers will be able to pre-order Dead Island Riptide in-stores and online at GameStop, Amazon.com and Best Buy and receive an extremely limited edition Steelbook as a preorder incentive. These beautiful Steelbooks will be available at time of game purchase at GameStop, Amazon.com and at Best Buy for those who preorder early. Quantities of these Steelbooks are extremely limited and only available on a first come first served basis while supplies last. Hopefully we’ll see additional content added as future incentives rather than following the trend of Resident Evil 6 and cramming in a leather jacket for a copious amount of cash, unusually for a pre-order incentive or most special editions, it has been highly emphasised that this will be limited numbers and on a first come first served basis so it could be worth getting hold of this one as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Dead Island Riptide is slated for release in 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
