Until now the only way you could delve into this classic from the series while sat at the computer screen, you would have had to use the ROM an emulator method, but today Square Enix have confirmed that this epic game from yesteryear will soon be able for the PC through the Square Enix e-store to celebrate the series 25th anniversary.
So far, there is no solid release date, but the promise is that we will be seeing the game some time this year along with several new features to make this classic experience feel new all over again. First up will be cloud saves, allowing you to load up wherever the feeling takes you, next is the confirmation of a save editor which will allow you to make changes such as maximising a characters health, money and magic. Finally will be the addition of an achievement system giving you bragging rights over your friends, as well as a reward system for those who explore just a little more.
Stay tuned for more information as soon as we get it.
