For the first time ever, Pokemon handheld titles are getting official, direct sequels and these to incredible titles will be available for the Nintendo 3DS on October 7th, so get ready to get back out in the field and catch ‘em all because the newest entries to the series look set to over the biggest and best feature set yet.

As well as taking us back to the familiar Unova region two years after the events of the original, the familiar landscape and feel certainly won’t be a stale experience with a whole host of new features. One of the new areas that will be open to players is Virbank City where you will find the new Pokestar Studios. At the studios you will be able to join forces with your Pokemon to make your very own movie which will then be played in the cinema and judged by the viewers. Genres will include romance and horror with scoring depending on things such as script choices and Pokemon moves.

Some old friends have been busy in the past two years as well, you’ll be able to hook up with Cheren who is now juggling the responsibility of being a gym leader and a teacher at the school in Aspertia City, where the new adventure will begin. Bianca will also be making a come back and is now assistant to Professor Juniper, helping out with all the Pokemon research.

Black and White 2 will also feature not only Pokemon from outside of the Unova region including Eevee, Mareep and Arcanine, but also inovotive new ways to catch certain Pokemon by using the Dream Radar. Dream Radar is set to launch in the Nintendo store at the same time as the new games and will allow players to use the 3DS features to catch Pokemon in new and exciting ways, including through the use of augmented reality. As well as the usual creatures from outside Unova, players will also be reintroduced to  the new Therian Formes of Legendary Pokémon Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus. Any Pokemon captured using Dream Radar will be transferable to the main title.

So get set and pencil October 7th onto your calendar ready for the next great adventure packed full of new and exciting features and no doubt a few more surprises to come.
