After just getting over the immature chuckles bought on by the observation that Resident Evil 6′s logo looks a lot like a woman… “servicing” a giraffe, Capcom have got me in stitches after announcing on their Japanese site that the premium edition of the game will be priced at an astronomical $1300.
What, you may be thinking, could possibly cost so much, the answer is 4 different covers for the game and a replica of Leon Kennedy’s leather jacket. with your average new title retailing for around $60 and most special editions, which would include something similar to case covers, asking for around $80, that means Capcom value Mr. Kennedy’s coat at roughly $1220. Reports that the jacket has been made from the leather of the finest dragons in Skyrim are, as yet, unconfirmed but seem to be the only reason why the jacket would cost so much, I don’t even think it looks that great and definitely not $1200 worth of great.
For now, the jacket appears to be only available in Japan priced at 105,000 yen, but good news for any loaded Japanese readers, you can preorder already. Will anyone reading this be picking up a copy? Let us know in the comments.
