A quote from twitter leads us to believe that the Comic-Con situation may be getting out of hand. What began with Capcom allegedly removing rowdy fans has apparently escalated to a possible assault. For those unaware, Seth Killian is apparently a community manager for Capcom.
The quote:
Anthony Iozzo (videogame554):
This just in Seth killian got punch in the face by a mega man fan, this is why I hate fanboyism so much. Fanboysm give gamers a bad name

update:
Most recently, capcom had this to say:
Capcom-Unity (Capcom_Unity):
@ShadyDevil99 No, Seth was not punched by a fan. Also completely false.
This is why I love fanboys so much! I don’t have the guts to do something like that but if I had them I would have done the same. In my mind I fly to Capcom’s HQ and burn everything with a flamethrower. At this point I hate Capcom like 100 times more than Square or Activision.
Man just look what they have done to Dante for God’s sake! And then they didn’t add Megaman yet they took the time to include stupid characters that nobody cares about like that retarded Raccoon on stupid Marvel 3 and on top of that they canceled MML3!!!!
This is the first time I’ve seen such a clusterbugger in the game industry.
While I admit that Megaman NEEDs to be in UMvC3, don’t hate on Rocket Raccoon. He’s a bad ass
HAHAHAHAHAHA
I’m glad a fan made a show of how serious people are about MML, but Seth didn’t deserve that, he barely has any real control at Capcom.
i think the facepunching is rong because who cars its megaman no one even nows who he is hes not even Halo
you know what? you’re an idiot, go to hell with your halo
No, you know what gives gamers a bad name? Having an important mascot’s series effectively discontinued and doing nothing about it. Sure, Seth Killian didn’t deserve the punch in the face- he has hardly anything to do with Mega Man. But maybe this will get higher-ups to think about how serious fans are about this, so I don’t regret the guy took a hit if he did.
Why punch Seth Killian? He’s not the one responsible for MML3′s cancellation. It’s the idiots in Japan.
because he supports capcom for not quiting yet. if he truly cared about megaman franchise or himself, he would leave that place at once.
@xXSuddenxxDefXx
Only idiots would compare Mega Man to Halo.
Also, Capcom Unity’s twitter confirmed that the rumor is false.
Video games are dead. Everyone associated with capcom should be sent to a north korean work camp
has something like this happened before in gaming industry?
where a fanboy punches a dev or assaults dev?
sev will be really p*ssed off and there’s nothing he could do man. All he could do is sue the fanboy
This is great. Companies finally have to realize their is consequences for their actions. Seth is a part of Capcom thus he did deserve to get hit int he face. When you go to war you take out everyone involved, from the leader to the peon. However hopefully next time fans will target higher up members of Capcom and teach them a lesson.
Funny how just one game (or lack there of) can change my view of C(r)apcom. If you would have asked me a month ago who my favorite game dev was, I would have said Capcom, since I was on a Prototype version high. Now, I want to collectively punch Capcom in the face.
It wasnt because they started making MML3 and then canceled it.
It was because they advertised it so much, getting everyones hopes up, practically making everyone, especially at Unity, pee their pants. Even up to the very last day we were led on with new screenshots, details, and Model viewers.
And then, in a rather depressing final post, our hopes and dreams were crushed. And then Capcom quickly moved on with yet another MvC improvement/add-on
I know its just a game, but, as it probably was with a lot of people, it probably brought back all sorts of memories and nostalgia. You don’t mess with people’s childhood. It’s like showing a kid a 10 minute long Barney commercial, then executing him with a shotgun and a chainsaw right in front of him. Or maybe like taunting Episode 6 of Star Wars for 6 months, advertising the release of a trailer, AND letting the fans pick, I don’t know, what colors everyones lightsabers would be… and then telling them “It didn’t meet certain criteria” and then announce an animated “R2 D2s Big Adventures!” TV series.
Building of hopes + crushing those hopes + senseless cash-ins = a lot of burned fans.
In short, I don’t blame the fan if he in fact dud punch this guy in the face.
