Thankfully and surprisingly, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings released a little over a month ago on Xbox 360 was pretty great. My thoughts were not as strong as one Josh Knowles’ were, but I still undoubtedly enjoyed the game and recommend it to all. But apparently, you don’t need my recommendations as the Witcher franchise has went on to sell over 4 million copies across PC, Mac, and Xbox 360.

While Witcher 2 isn’t necessarily the best game ever or some kind of cult hit, I love seeing a game and franchise like this succeed like it has. It’s a series and a development team that deserves every bit of credit and every cent they achieve. Also, your purchase of Witcher 2 may have just convinced CD Projekt Red to resurrect the previously cancelled Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf (the first game in the franchise) for Xbox 360 release. That is a still a rumor at this time but it seems like it would only make sense at this point.

And the future is most certainly bright for Projekt Red as in the press release unveiling this achievement, they mentioned the previously talked about collaboration between them and Mike Pondsmith on a game set in the cyberpunk universe.

Personally, my excitement is high for anything Projekt Red puts out at this point and I know I’m not the only one that feels that way. Cheers for the accomplishment, fellas!
