15. Dante – Devil May Cry Series
How many demons has this guy killed? Armed with blades and guns, and an overly optimistic attitude paired with cheesy one-liners, Dante has slayed his fair share of the underworld’s best offerings. His flamboyant flare with swords and pistols help make Dante the hero that he is today, and none of us will forget the sheer number of baddies whose lives where taken by the combo landing demon hunter, and that is why Dante makes Gaming Irresponsibly’s list of greatest heroes.
14. Mega Man – Mega Man Series
He has defeated every kind of man on the planet. Wood Man, Blade Man, Gemini Man, all of them. And he has even taken it to Dr. Wiley a few times for good measure. No matter what the evil doctor threw his way, Mega Man always seemed to have a one up on the old bastard. Mega Man is truly a great hero, but it doesn’t hurt to find a key Energy Tank now and again.
13. Nathan Drake – Uncharted Series
Like his female counterpart Lara Croft, Nathan Drake also spends his free time treasure hunting. His hobby takes him all over the globe, in search of the most rarest of artifacts and glorious of treasures. This has also made him a huge target for crooked gangsters and cartels the world over, but he and Sulley manage to keep them at bay. He also has a way with the ladies, which isn’t a particularly bad characteristic for a hero to have. Nathan Drake makes our list of video game heroes at lucky number 13.
12. Ezio de Auditore – Assassin’s Creed Series
He wasn’t in the first installment, but Ezio had more style and flair than his ancestor Altair. Like Nathan Drake, Ezio too had a way with the ladies. But that isn’t why he made the list of top heroes. Ezio helped stop the political corruption in Italy, befriended one of the most brilliant men to ever live, flew across the city like bird, and killed anyone that stood in the way of the Assassin’s Creed, “Nothing is true, everything is permitted.” You can’t help but love Ezio’s style and grace, and his reputation with the ladies.
11. Samus – Metroid Series
Who doesn’t love a woman who can kick ass and take names? Even though this tricky babe fooled us in the first Metroid, we still rank her as one of video games greatest heroes. We will never forget when we found out that Samus was a smoking hot babe, and not a dude as many of us presumed, but nonetheless, Samus, chick or not, still ranks as one of Gaming Irresponsibly’s greatest video game heroes.

I really think Shepard should be higher, at least in the top five. Mass Effect series was amazing and it was Shepard’s heroic actions that made it so
